Alice Hurtt's Obituary
Alice Hurtt, 70, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Hurtt was a native of Brooklyn, New York, born on May 16, 1946 to the late Jack and Anna Young. She lived most of her life in Gainesville, working as a founding member of the North Florida Regional Medical Center, retiring after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arbra “Hal” Hurtt.
Survivors include; two brothers, Ernie Young, of Ocala and George W. Young, of Port Jefferson, NY; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Alice’s life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd St with Rev. David Leonard officiating. She will be interred alongside her beloved Hal, immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
