Alex Robert Anctil's Obituary
Alex Robert Anctil, 68, of Alachua, Florida passed away peacefully October 3, 2017 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center, in Gainesville, Florida.
Alex is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pauline (Guertin) Anctil of Alachua, Florida. He is also survived by his brother, Roy Anctil (and Lynne) of Brimfield, MA; his sister, Donna (Nielsen) Noel (and David) of Charlton, MA; his brother Richard Nielsen, Jr. (and Debra) of North Woodstock, CT, and his sister, Nancy (Nielsen) Robidoux of Southbridge, MA.
Alex is also survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Guertin (and Janet) of Gainesville, Florida, sister-in-law, Janet Guertin of Port Orange, Florida, sister-in-law, Johanna Guertin of Worcester, MA. Alex also leaves behind godchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
Alex was born in Southbridge, MA, the son of Eleanor (Anctil) Nielsen and Richard Nielsen, Sr.
After serving in the National Guard, Alex worked as a machinist, most recently at Southbridge Tool & Manufacturing, in Dudley, MA, prior to his retirement.
During his retirement, Alex enjoyed exploring Florida with his wife.
