Dear Linda and family. I am in PA now and just heard of Alden's passing. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I transferred from Harrisburg, PA when we opened the Gainesville FL office. Alden surprised everyone when he hired me, a woman, as a supervisor in the call center which he managed. He allowed me to train myself in the new computer world. expected much from me, and helped me crash through some glass ceilings! I know some of his brilliance rubbed off on me. Rest well my friend.
In the Nationwide Insurance claims Department at the Gainesville office we all looked up to Alden Green because of his deep knowledge of computer fixes and desire for us to take good care of our customers. He had a good sense of humor and was a straight talker too. My sympathy to his family. Glad he enjoyed his kids and grandchildren, even with his painful medical condition.
I worked with Alden at Nationwide. He was a very kind leader of our claims unit.
I knew Alden back in the Nationwide as his agent. Always a really nice guy. May God’s peace be with his family. Lee Crane
