Alan Wyatt Hamilton's Obituary
Alan Wyatt Hamilton passed away on December 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy deployed to Operation Desert Storm. He was a volunteer for many years at the Lion’s Club of High Springs. He loved to garden in addition to going fishing, playing darts and shooting pool. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #16 in Gainesville.
He is preceded in death by his mother Patricia Hamilton.
Alan is survived by his father, Alchus Hamilton, his loving wife Sherry Lyn, his children Stacey and Lindsey Hamilton, two stepchildren, Robby Schuck and Brandy Strickland, his sister Kandi Nelson, four grandchildren, Anthony, Alyssa, Damian, and Davina, and his beloved dog Yanna Hamilton
Family will receive friends on Friday January 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida 32669.
