Alan Russell Cox's Obituary
Alan Russell Cox passed away on September 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Missoula, Montana on March 10, 1956, to Gene S. and Nell Ruth Jones Cox.
Alan worked for many years at I.P. Casino and Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a sergeant in security forces. He loved gardening and was a man of great strength and unassuming grace, a humble soul whose life was a testimonial to devotion and resilience.
Alan is survived by his loving wife Bridget Wallace; his children, Kelly Cox (Marlin Seal), Michelle Rhoades (Sean), Brandon Wallace (Cassie), and Jason Wallace (Tara); grandchildren, Finnigan Wallace, Liam Wallace, Aiden Wallace, Oliver Wallace, Ella Wallace, Ruby Wallace, and Alia Rhoades Hodge (Dalton); great grandchildren, Christian Hodge, Holden Hodge, and Kai Hodge; and his loving K9 companion, Saint.
He is preceded by his grandson, Christian Rhoades; brother, Tom Cox; and his mother and father.
Being a private man, Alan’s request was to have no services and have his ashes scattered in the Smoky Mountains.
