Agnes Jean Ash's Obituary
Agnes Jean Ash, 87, of Homosassa, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in the company of her daughter, Lori, and her 2 cousins.
Jean was born on November 18, 1935, in Leesburg, Florida to the late Carl Sapp and Virgette Mae Sapp-Peavy. Jean grew up in Central Florida with her siblings Matalina, Mae Mirtis, Geraldine, Ruben, and Henry. She began a career as a hairdresser, owning her own beauty salon, and eventually became a homemaker, settling down with her late husband, Donald Ash.
She and Don enjoyed a beautiful life together that was full of love, lots of laughter, and many adventures that they loved to share with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren- or as she would call them, her "angels".
Jean was a fierce woman who loved her family with everything she had. She was a Godly woman who credited Him for all that she was blessed with and made it known to anyone that would listen. As the matriarch of the family, she set a standard of how to live by faith, love hard, serve others with a generous heart, but never let anyone push you around. Jean was an especially proud grandmother and her unwavering commitment to her family was unmatched.
She is met in Heaven by the love of her life, Donald Ash, her mother and father, as well as her siblings Mae, Mirtis, Geraldine, and Henry. She is survived by her 2 children, Larry Wooten and Lori Wooten-Maxwell (spouse: David); her grandchildren, Kathleen Vaes with her 2 children London and Grey, Mikael Vaes and his 4 children Cali, Dallas, Denver, and Savannah; Danielle Mckoy (spouse: Mikell) and her 2 children Mallory and Meredith, Justin Wooten (spouse: Paige) and his little girl on the way, Mackenzie Wooten, Julia Proctor (spouse: Mason) and her little boy on the way, and Noah Wooten. Also, her sister Matalina O'Dell (spouse: Bill) and brother Ruben Sapp (spouse: Pauline).
Jean, Mom, Mommom, Grandma, Grandma Jeans was so very precious to the hearts of her family. She will be missed dearly, but there is peace in knowing that we will all see her again soon. We love you. "
