To the family: I never knew Ms. Smith's name. But, I recognized her picture in the paper. I recognized her as the nicest most helpful lady who was at the Publix Apron's station for so many years. I spoke with her so many times, asking her about recipes. She would give me helpful hints. She was such a beautiful lady, so elegant. I missed her when the pandemic hit and Publix no longer had anyone cooking in the Apron's stations. I was so sorry to read of her passing. Please know that your mother's friendly smile always added some sunshine to my day. And, I'm sure her kindness touched the lives of so many other strangers like me. Peace to all of your family.

I cherish many happy memories while working with Ms. Ada at the VA. One of the happiest times was our trip to Hawaii together with her and her daughters. I would go to the particular Publix that Ms. Ada was working at to visit with her there. She jokingly called me her business partner. She was always a good and caring woman. Bob and Lori Daniele

Dear family,

Our hearts are full of sadness & love. Although the next chapter of your lives will be different, Ada gave you all the tools needed to embrace her spiritual transition and to go on and continue to make her proud. She taught us all the importance of family and to be there for each other through all the big & small moments of this experience called “life”. Her laugh was contagious and will continue to be a source of joy. Her faith was strong and will continue to be a source of brightness. Her strength was purposeful and will continue to be a source of guidance from heaven.
