A.D. "Woody" Woodcock's Obituary
A. D. “Woody” Woodcock, age 84, of Newberry passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at his home. He was born May 18, 1933 in Sappington, Missouri to Jessie Howard and Beulah Irene Brunk Woodcock. Woody proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a motorcycle mechanic and loved spending time working on and riding motorcycles. He loved racing and visiting all motorcycle rallies with friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and participated in the Fun Run in Suches, Georgia every Fall. He was a member of Northeast Florida BMW Club, Poverty Riders International, and Motoguzzi National Organization.
Woody is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Hodge Woodcock; daughters, Kathi Thomas and Julie Crosswhite, both of Newberry; grandchildren, Tia Bonnell, Syierra Crosswhite, Garrett Crosswhite, Lilli Bentz, Katie Florence Thomas, and Liam Wuenstel; great-granddaughter, Lexi Bonnell, and granddogs, Hank and Yogi.
A Celebration of Woody’s Life will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
