Mr and Mrs Monaco were our very first friends at Queen of Peace. It isn't often you meet such a loving couple, let alone one that has been together for 60 years... and still has that magic something sparkling with humor, camaraderie and romance... coupled with that deep sense of being home. My brother and i always thought it was neat that we moved from upstate New York to Florida to sit next to and befriend some upstate New Yorkers. And we're very glad we did.
Sorry to learn of "Mr." Monaco's passing. Deepest condolences to family and loved ones, esp. Marilyn, John and Mark. He and other great parent figures in the neighborhood made life growing up on Harris Dr. meaningful. Please know his humanity and humor meant a lot to me in those carefree days and beyond. Rest in Peace, John.
I was very saddened to read of John's passing. I had the great pleasure of working with John at Knolls Atomic Power Lab. for many years. His calm, good natured personality always made trying times bearable and the fun times even more fun. I'll miss him. Sympathies to his family.

I have had the honor of spending the past 5 years with this wonderful man and his amazing family. I'll miss hearing him sing " Me and my shadow" as we walked, his many facial expressions, (You never had to guess what he was thinking, You could just look at him and tell!) and his laugh. You couldn't help but laugh with him! He was a wonderful person inside and out. Until we meet again!
I had the pleasure and the privilege of taking care of Mr. Monaco. He was a kind gentle sweet man. He had a infectious smile and a deep love for his family. He was simply the best 😊💙
