I am so glad to have found this page. I met Dr.Nicoletti in 2009 when I was an Assistant Professor at St. George's University in Grenada. He came as our Visiting Professor in Food Safety and he then hosted me in Florida, as I was due to take over the lectures in this area. He was absolutely wonderful and took me around to all of the local slaughter facilities and showed me around the University of Florida. I met his lovely wife and witnessed his wonderful guitar playing at his home and we even spent a day ogether at Epcot and then Disney taking all the rides!. He was a wonderful person and a great mentor.

I will always remember Dr. Nicoletti as a great teacher, a friend and a wonderful human being. He was also one the most internationally travelled and recognized veterinary faculity from the College of Veterinary Medicine. I had a previlage to host him when he visited Dubai, the United Arab Emirates during 1997 (if I remember the year correctly). Dr. Nicoletti's contribution and all his good memories will aways remain alive with us.

Dr. Nicoletti was much more than a professor. He was one of the originals at the new Veterinary School at Florida and someone a student could go to with dilemmas and receive very insightful solutions. He was a true champion of the student and will always be remembered.

Dr. Nicoletti made it possible for me to become a veterinarian. I owe him such a debt of gratitude and tried to tell him that every time I saw him. Dr. Arnie Plotnick and I worked on his targeted drug delivery research for Brucellosis. Arnie and I were so fortunate to visit with Dr. Nic just a few weeks ago at NAVC. We will miss him so much! Our hearts go out to his family on their loss.

Integrity and passion were Paul's bywords, much to the benefit of everything in which he was involved over his long and distinguished career. UF's Veterinary College, from its founding, was one of those lucky recipients of his attention. He was a steadying hand through the rough times during the maturation of the enterprise as well as being a very important contributor to its overall mission and rise to prominence over the last 40 years. His legacy is enduring. It was an distinct honor to have been his colleague.
