Mr. Vickers was my seventh grade technology teacher, as well as my neighbor. He was one of those teachers whose life lessons I will always carry with me. He taught me how to work hard, but also when to take a step back. He taught me how to start at the beginning and cover the basics on a project before getting too fancy. Most importantly, he taught me how to not take myself too seriously.
The last time I was able to talk with him was when I stopped by his house to tell him that I had officially graduated with my bachelor's degrees. He gave me a firm handshake, looked me in the eye, and said "I'm proud of you, Tim. Really proud of you." I'm proud of you too, Mr. Vickers. Thanks for touching my life.
What a wonderful teacher. He taught both of my children tech at Howard Bishop. I remember being astounded that my kids came home having designed web sites at very tender ages. Engaged, excited and enthusiastic for learning in the future. Mr. Vickers was very good at what he did and did so in the craziness that was middle school. Please know that Mr Vickers was loved and appreciated. My heart goes out to his family.

Our condolences to the Vickers family. He will be fondly remembered as an incredible person and amazing teacher. My son had him for two years and is utilizing skills in his college major that were taught to him by Mr. Vickers. God bless.
Our condolences to the Vickers family. Deckle was a kind and gentle soul and I'm proud to have known him. Sending healing prayers to Peggy and Brannin, and all the Vickers.

I remember Mr. Vickers very fondly. He was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He taught me for 7th grade and I loved his class so much that I opted to take his class for 8th grade as well. He was warm in character to everyone around him in class and out of class.Throughout the years I have been back to visit his class at Bishop many times. He always was interested in my life after middle school and I thank him for that. He would ask how high school was and how my brothers were doing even asking about my parents and what they were up to. He made me and everyone around him feel special. I am sad to say that I can't make it back to pay my respects in person, however I send my condolences to the Vickers family.
