C.H. “Sonny” McGraw, 84, of Keystone Heights, FL, died at home surrounded by his loving family on May 2, 2021. He was born September 14, 1936 in Miami, FL to Clarence and Ruth Blakey McGraw. Sonny had a fascinating life as a Golden Gloves champion, a U.S. Army private, high school, college and Boys Club coach, fireman, and teacher. He earned his Master’s Degree from Auburn University. He was an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was married since time has been recorded. He loved fishing, family, friends, all his players and assistants, kids and being director of food services at Vintage Electric. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Hawkes. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Stephanie McGraw, children Michael (Karla) McGraw, Bebe (Mason) Padgett, and John (Kathy) McGraw, brothers William (Frances) McGraw and Richard (Carolyn) McGraw, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 11 A.M. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 7919 US 301, Hawthorne, with Fr. Mike Williams and Fr. Andy Mitera celebrating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pavilion at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church or Community Hospice will be appreciated.
