Robert Clark Ross, 79, of Gainesville, FL and formerly of Jupiter, FL passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019 at Haven Hospice with his wife of 56 years, Jan and his daughter, Jenni, at his side. He was born June 24, 1940 in Bra Read Obituary
All my love to Jan and Jenn and her family. I didn't know Bob well but know he was a man of enthusiasms and love of life. The stories and photos of Alaska were wonderful. Am glad I got a chance to talk with him at Emma's graduation. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed their accomplishments. Hope you can hang in there Jan and much love for being such a help to Bob for many years. Glad Jenn has been with you. She is fabulous. Love and hugs.
There was one Halloween where he told us the story of the Devilbat. The next Halloween he dressed up as the Devilbat and made a child cry. Rest In peace, Granddad. We’ll miss you.
Bob was very generous and good to me from the time Jenn and I started dating. I'll remember his passion for the Gators, skill in the wood shop, enjoyment of his house and yard, and most of all how he loved our visits and his grandchildren. He always found something special to do with them, usually a movie that they wanted to see (whether or not he did). He will be greatly missed by me, and I'll always be grateful for how he treated me. I'll miss sitting by the fire and talking with him.
My best memories with him were when we went fishing together as a family, it was always so much fun to just be with him because he was easily the funniest person i've ever known. He meant the world to us all, and I love him so much.
