Erin Heinmuller lit a candle in memory of Katie English
Katie and I worked together at Abbott. We finally met each other after working since October of 2019, due to us working across the country in different offices. I was so glad we could finally meet in person and introduce our families to each other. It was great getting caught up and spending quality time at Cocoa Beach Nov 2022. She was a great resource at work and won awards for being so helpful. If we ever needed an answer to something, then I always knew we could ask her. Our associates at Abbott already miss her and we are thankful to have worked with such a sweet and giving person. Knowing she and Daniel have such a large family in the area gives us hope that he and the children will have such a good group to lean on when needed. Katie will be missed by so many. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
Katie, you always had the spirit for adventure (and sarcasm) and you will be deeply missed. I mean, who else would want to go into the middle of nowhere to visit a town filled with scarecrows? Then, of course, there was Halloween where you showed up to a haunted house as Marylin Monroe and you let them put you in a cage probably 5 minutes after walking in the door. (She volunteered to help out even though she already had other plans that night.)
And who else would travel to Egypt by themself? Let me say that again: By themself because she didn't want to miss the experience.
You also stepped up in ways that no one had a right to ask, as I and others know firsthand. You simply cared about others and that's a treasure. It's a loss felt by all and my sincerest sympathy to all your family.
