Lydia Barland lit a candle in memory of Eric Ross

I only found out about this today- Eric and I were friends in summer camp many years ago. I was searching to see how old friends I had not seen in a while were doing when I came across this sad news. Eric was funny, intelligent, interested and kind. I was not great at guitar but he showed me skills I still use. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss. His impact was strong enough that I was thinking about him today, and I hadn't seen him in 18 years. Sending strength.
Love you Eric. I played that Hamer guitar you kept for me those 9 years I was on tour today. First time I had opened it up since you gave it back. You put some nice dings in it haha and you must have played the hell out of it, flat frets, worn spots on the neck and bridge. I played it for an hour. Played some of our Navin and CTL tunes (the ones I could remember anyway). I could see you all over it and hear you with it. I'll miss you forever and love you longer. My friend.
To All; Love and Light. To Friends and co-workers; we must carry on and keep his spirit close. His 'can do' attitude must survive. That’s the legacy. To the family and loved ones; my deepest condolences. He will be missed terribly. Peace to all. Rest in Peace Eric.
The world can't afford to lose amazing people like this.

This is serious loss to the music community. Eric was a very nice person, and a gifted sound technician. I will miss his friendly face when I come to tune the piano. Dan Roberts
Fond memories of working with Eric at UFPA. RIP BROTHER.

Eric played guitar in the very first band I was in, with Jeff, and Ray. We called ourselves voluptuous. He was one of the best guitarists , and best bass players that I've ever heard in my life. It was an honor to know him, and to get to connect with him on a musical level. We all went to the French Woods summer camp and played music there as well. Eric will be forever loved and missed by all.
I think I am repeating my message. I was so sorry to read about Eric's death in the paper today.
He was a beautiful little boy. He was so smart, so kind, so happy so talented in sports and had so much support from both of you, Carol and Warren. He was a good friend to his neighbor Kris who loved him.
Carol, you know you were my rock for so many early years. I can close my eyes and see Eric, Warren, and a lot of boys and dads inspecting our flooding hot water heater, all on our roof on a Christmas Day!
You have our sympathy and love.
